Sturgis Missionary Youth
The Youth Group at Sturgis Missionary Church is a community where teens (Grades 6-12) learn how to have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Leaders help the teens to live out the gospel message in skillful living for the rest of their lives.
Led by Joel & Brittney Eichorn, the youth directors here at SMC.
Sunday School, Sundays 9:15 - 10:15 am, Lower Level Youth Room
Biblical study of one of the books in the Bible with a 15-20 minute game
Youth Group, Wednesday Nights, 6:30 - 7:30 pm (doors open at 6:15)
Games and topical studies in small groups (example - "Intimacy with God" and "Relationships").
We plan one fun event each month with the purpose of fellowship. Some of the teens’ favorites are nerf gun wars and men’s belch and scratch/ladies primp and prim night.
The service group is led by Ardi and Vickie Eichorn. Their responsibilities include finding, planning, and coordinating a service need once every quarter. Service projects are designed to help unite students as they work together, teach them to help others, and meet a tangible need for those in our community. Some examples of past service projects are landscaping for an elderly woman and raking leaves.
Other events include a yearly youth retreat. Youth use the money raised at fundraisers for the youth retreat, as well as for other events that they desire to participate in (for example, the money can also be used for Youth for Christ activities).
If you have any questions about the youth group or those leading it, please do not hesitate to contact Joel Eichorn. You can email at email@example.com.
